As well as riding around the streets of London, colleagues from Alliotts provided support to Prevent Breast Cancer, the Charity Partner of the Year for the Prudential RideLondon 46, by volunteering at their stand at Excel in London.
Alliotts volunteers worked on the ‘9 Second Challenge’ which highlights the fact that 1 in 9 women will get breast cancer. They also talked to visitors to the stand about the charity, which is the only one in the UK dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, and it’s aims. By handing out information and answering questions on how people can get involved, they provided much needed help on the day.
Prevent Breast Cancer's Phoebe Vickers Sports Fundraiser commented
Thank you all so much for volunteering for Prevent Breast Cancer during RideLondon. We really appreciate your enthusiastic attitude which helped you engage with so many members of the public. You’ve really helped us expand our database and spread awareness about our charity.
