Alliotts participates in the China Petroleum Cup 2024: A Friendly Badminton Tournament in London

A wonderful event hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) and sponsored by PetroChina International (London) Co., Ltd to bring people together through sport.

The ‘China Petroleum Cup’ Badminton Friendly Tournament, was hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) and sponsored by PetroChina International (London) Co., Ltd. The tournament was held over several days from 9th to 13th of September at CitySport, London. It brought together over 100 participants from various CCCUK members, making it a great opportunity for friendly competition and connection. Everyone was welcome regardless of ability and the theme of the tournament was welcoming.

Alliotts was well-represented, fielding a team which included Nicholas Nicolaou, Clair Dart, Angie Lam, Ben Wan, Cynthia Cheong, Dayu Li, Patrick Smith, Saphal Gurung, Teddy Rainbird, and Zheng Zhang. Our team of players performed across all categories including Men’s Singles and Doubles, Women’s Singles and Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

A Special congratulations goes to Cynthia Cheong and Angie Lam, who secured the silver medal in the Women’s Doubles. Their exceptional performance demonstrated a strong partnership on the court.

The ‘China Petroleum Cup’ was a wonderful event that brought people together through sport. It reminded us that we can build connections and friendships through sport, while enjoying something that helps keep us healthy.

A huge thank you to all the players, organisers, and supporters for making this event a such a success.
