Chris Mantel

I have over 30 years’ experience in the accounting profession advising privately owned and public sector organisations.

I love nothing better than assisting my clients achieve their objectives offering ad-hoc advice alongside the more traditional compliance services such as audit, accountancy and tax. Throughout my professional life I have worked with a wide range of clients from owner managed business to UK subsidiaries through to international groups across a wide range of sectors, including property, media and leisure and hospitality.

I have developed a keen interest in education having worked with further education colleges since they incorporated in 1993 and latterly with academies and universities. This has afforded me the opportunity to work with sector funding bodies as a member of their working groups as well as speaking at local and national events. Being an ex-rugby player I have a keen desire to see all my clients succeed and many of them see me as part of their team using me as an independent sounding board.

PERSONAL

I’m a keen rugby fan and a season ticket holder at Harlequins where in my formative years,(when I had more hair and much less weight around my middle), I represented the club playing both the traditional game as well as the more dynamic seven aside version.

During the summer months I can often be found wandering aimlessly amongst some of the lovely countryside of the Home Counties. In fact I’m meant to be playing golf but instead I’m actually searching for my lost ball.  

A family man at heart I enjoy nothing better than being in the company of my wife and children, walking the dog and showing off my BBQ-ing skills.

My guilty secret is that I love losing myself in a good ol' animated film whilst dreaming of my next visit to Disney, ‘where the magic never stops.’
