Justin is based in our Guildford office and has extensive experience of working with clients in a wide variety of sectors, including commercial firms and Not for Profit organisations.
A Director in the Accounts team Justin is responsible for managing a team that delivers monthly management accounts, year-end statutory accounts and grant assurance assignments. He takes pride in understanding the needs of clients and providing effective and timely solutions, whilst keeping abreast of technical and regulatory changes.
He is also a member of Alliotts’ corporate finance team, with a particular interest in consumer technology and Fintech.
Justin previously worked in the investment banking sector for over 15 years, both in the UK and abroad, and gained specialist experience in equities and corporate finance. He qualified as a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder in 2006.
Grant Audits
Justin is experienced in managing grant assurance assignments and delivering Independent Accountant’s Reports for grant recipients. He has specialist knowledge of grants from Innovate UK, the EU Horizon 2020 programme, the UK Space Agency and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
Education
Justin is responsible for managing a team, which delivers the statutory accounts and accounts returns for our academy sector clients. He aims to deliver excellent client service by helping our clients understand the process involved, whilst keeping up to date with the latest regulatory changes as detailed in the Academies Accounts Direction.
Corporate Finance
Having worked in the investment banking sector for over 15 years, Justin has specialist corporate finance knowledge. He has experience of providing company directors with advice on acquisitions, disposals and restructurings. He also has considerable experience of preparing company valuations for relevant stakeholders.
Outsourced Financial Function
Justin manages a team that provides a range of outsourced accounting services such as implementing accounting systems, bookkeeping, monthly management accounts and VAT returns. Justin invests time in understanding a client’s requirements and objectives. He aims to deliver an efficient and outstanding level of service so that clients can focus on running and growing their business.
In his spare time Justin is a keen sportsman, with a particular interest in playing hockey, snowboarding, running and golf. In 2022 Justin was part of an Alliotts team that undertook the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for Prevent Breast Cancer.
In his earlier years, Justin competed in several marathons and triathlons.
