Nick trained with Alliotts and has progressed to his current role as Salaried Partner.

His varied role requires a mix of expertise. Nick works closely with owner managers of SMEs at every stage of their business cycle. Delivering practical solutions; ranging from cloud accounting to help with the day to day running of a business, through to exiting planning and sale. Throughout Nick ensures his clients are meeting their compliance obligations, are aware of any legislative changes that may affect them, and how they need to adapt. An important aspect of his role is training and mentoring members of his team to help them shape their personal development plans.

Charities

As a member of Alliotts specialist not for profit Team Nick works with several charities to ensure their assurance compliance is met. His charity sector knowledge together with his corporate experience allows him to bring a fresh perspective to not for profit sector clients.

Media

Nick’s experience with clients within the creative sector helps ensure they manage their statutory requirements stress free. He works closely with the media team to offer genuine advice in a simple to understand manner. Nick’s work with our media clients includes preparation of statutory accounts, cost verification for funding requirements, as well as advice on qualifying for Film and TV tax credits.

British Film Tax Certification

Nick has assisted a number of film production companies achieve their creative ambitions.
By delivering support in helping to verify film and tax credit claims he has helped support numerous films receive the funding they need to bring projects to the screen.

Audit and Assurance

Nick is a registered auditor and helps guide the team to deliver compliant audits to our clients in a variety of business sectors. He liaises closely with clients to ensure deadlines are met and detailed outcomes are explained simply and precisely.

Corporate Finance Advisory

Nick’s primary motivation is to help his clients maximise their investment in their businesses by operating as efficiently as possible and achieving the best outcome at exit. He has assisted in the sale of several businesses including a high-profile social media network. Nick provides businesses with valuation assistance and help in the due diligence process.

Outsourced business services

Nick advises inward investing international businesses on running their UK operations and reporting to their overseas head offices. Nick enjoys direct involvement with his clients and their businesses and is always on hand to answer questions or provide practical advice when needed.

With a young family Nick is kept busy on weekends running after his two children. He enjoys playing 5-a-side football weekly and is a keen supporter of Liverpool FC. Nick also enjoys cycling and has taken part is several charity cycle events including London to Brighton and Ride London. Nick is a trustee in a local charity and is active in organising community events.

New company size thresholds from April 2025

Thresholds defining company sizes have not changed since 2016, but revised thresholds are now set to be introduced from 6 April 2025. Companies House intends to roll out their new identity verification requirements for directors and people with significant control (PSCs) by late 2025.
